The Positioning Scorecard

If your business is stronger than your messaging, this will show you where the gap is. Eight questions, two minutes. You'll find out how clearly you're saying who you are, who you're for, and why you win. You see your score right away, and I email you what I'd fix first.

Score Your Positioning

Answer honestly. “Partly” is a perfectly good answer.

How it works

  1. Answer eight questions. It takes about two minutes.

  2. See your score out of 16 as soon as you've answered them all.

  3. Send it to me. I read every scorecard myself and reply by email with what I'd fix first, usually within two business days.

What Your Score Tells You

  • 13–16: Sharp. Your positioning is doing its job. The work now is keeping it consistent everywhere.

  • 7–12: Blurry in places. The business is probably stronger than the message, and your marketing is working harder than it should.

  • 0–6: Guessing. Get clear on your positioning before you spend more on marketing.
